Columbia State Community College nursing faculty pinned 32 new nursing graduates in front of family and friends during a traditional ceremony held Friday, May 4 in the Webster Athletic Center.

Columbia State Community College's new women's soccer team held a signing day for the Columbia State student recruits Friday, March 16.

Columbia State students were inducted into Sigma Kappa Delta, the national English honor society for two-year colleges. The honor society promotes honors excellence in English, and members enjoy writing, reading, discussion and fellowship. Membership is open to students who have completed one college English course and who maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher in English and other scholarship.

Columbia State Community College announces more than 280 students who earned their degree or certificate during the fall 2017 semester.

Columbia State Community College named 107 students to the president's list for fall 2017.

Columbia State Community College named 580 students to the dean's list for fall 2017.

A total of 12,594 students enrolled during the 2017 fall semester at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 or above or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.

Columbia State Community College pinned 44 new nursing graduates in a traditional ceremony held Friday, Dec. 15 in the Webster Athletic Center.

Students in the Computer-Based Honors Program in the Honors College presented their research during CBH Live 2017, a live interactive broadcast of research projects conducted during fall 2017.

Columbia State Community College is pleased to announce the incoming freshman for the fall 2017 semester. We want to extend a big Charger welcome as you get to know Columbia State, make new friends and create lasting memories! The fall semester is just beginning, and we want to take this opportunity to wish you much success as you begin your studies at Columbia State. They join the ranks of more than 6,000 Columbia State students who are pursuing their dreams of obtaining a college degree or certificate. Columbia State is proud to offer more than 70 programs of study and has friendly faculty and staff who care that students have a great college experience. We offer both traditional and online courses. At Columbia State, you can earn a degree that can take you straight into the workforce or that can transfer to the college or university of your choice.

Thirty-eight Columbia State students spent the summer with the world as their classroom, participating in a study abroad program provided by the Tennessee Consortium for International Studies. Participants learned from Columbia State professors, as well as other Tennessee Board of Regents institutions. Students also earned college credit-all the while soaking in the culture and camaraderie of a foreign land. This summer, students traveled to multiple international destinations, including Galapagos Islands, England, India, South Africa and Greece.

The University of Alabama awarded approximately 5,000 degrees during spring commencement May 5-7. You made the 2017 Dean's List!

Columbia State Community College recognized 12 respiratory care graduates during its annual pinning ceremony May 4.

For the first time in the college's 51-year history, Columbia State Community College celebrated its spring 2017 commencement with two ceremonies on May 6 in the Webster Athletic Center. The first ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. and will feature student speaker, Caitlyn McNabb, and the second will begin at 2 p.m. and will feature student speaker, Destiny Seaton.

Columbia State Community College honored 16 radiologic technology graduates in a pinning ceremony May 2 in the Cherry Theater of the Waymon L. Hickman Building.
